This is the land along Point Peron Road at Mangles Bay that was formerly leased by the AIW and RSL. LandCorp have put up a sign (pictured above) on the fence surrounding this former AIW camp site on Point Peron Road. It is very concerning that a Government Department (LandCorp) is pre-empting the outcome of the MRS Amendment 1280/41 which is currently under consideration by the WA Planning Commission. This land is still Crown land.

This sign is flagrantly false and misleading because this land is not ‘private property’. It is Crown land, reserved for a particular purpose. So it is public property, which is supposed to be managed for the public benefit. This is legal advice that we have received.
